This season’s wallpaper picks by Fruition home

An easy way to add a bit of colour and interest to your space is include some wallpapered walls. There are no fixed rules with how to do this and so many ways to use wallpaper.

  • Create impact with bright bold colour or pattern,
  • Add texture and interest with subtle pattern and colours,
  • Echo external surroundings such as countryside, sea views or chic city living.

There are endless possibilities. Whether you want to make you space calm, restful or full of character to inspire.

Here are a few suggestions:

Entrance halls lend themselves well to one large papered wall. Papered walls work well behind a console table and mirror or artwork. This creates a dramatic statement in any entrance area.

Guest bathrooms work well with wallpaper on all the walls or above a half height timber panelled wall or wall tiles.  Because these rooms are not used all the time and you only spend a small amount of time in them it allows you to go a bit wild with pattern and colour and create a fun space.

Dining rooms can be brought to life with wallpaper. You can add interest with a  print in calm colours or natural pattern.

Living spaces can be have features enhanced by wallpapering a fireplace wall or even paper into recessed alcoves for a different feel.

Bedrooms are a great place go all out and wallpaper all walls in a restful subtle print.  Fabric and silk effect wallpapers work brilliantly in bedrooms and dressing rooms to give that luxury high end look and feel.
